The basic strategy of IISR is “to influence the influential.” Accordingly its target group at present is university/college/major seminary professors and senior students. It extends technical and other assistance to setup academic programs in the area of science-religion dialogue in colleges and universities.  It also engages in preparing syllabus for academic programs to be used by universities and colleges. Furthermore, it offers assistance to deserving candidates to attend and present scholarly papers at national and international conferences. IISR makes sure that its programs are open to men and women of all religions, cultures and races. It also networks with like-minded organizations and international centers like STOQ in Rome, CTNS in the US, etc.
